Competition
Chairman with help of committee shall:
- Supervising LPA Print, Slide and Digital competitions including
establishment of competition themes, rules, and criteria for judging and
awards.
- Be responsible for the selection of a judge, or judges.
- Maintain an accurate up-to-date record of results.
- Maintain an accurate up-to-date record of member competition category.
- Responsible for obtaining Year-end Award/Trophies and maintaining supply
of competition ribbons.

Historian with help of committee shall:
- Collecting, documenting, and maintaining an up-to-date history of the
LPA.
Hospitality Chairperson with help of committee shall:
- Insuring that guests and visitors are greeted and introduced at all
general meetings. Also provides an informational flyer to prospective new
members.
Hostess Chairperson with help of committee shall:
- Insuring that the coffee pot and related supplies are provided at the
general meeting. Coordinating with members who volunteer to provide
refreshments at general meetings.
Newsletter Editor with help of committee shall:
- Solicit input, prepare, type, edit, print, and distribute the monthly
LPA newsletter in a timely and professional manner. Also responsible for
assuring that new members are credited and announced in the newsletter.
- Has discretionary authority regarding format, subject matter, overall
content, clarity, and brevity of the newsletter.
- Set policy for submission of articles, photographs, editorials,
advertisements, and the time and means of distribution, with the goal of
maximizing communications and minimizing cost.
- Provide one newsletter per month by USPS to those members who do not
have e-mail. The Editor shall provide a file of the newsletter to the Web
Master for forwarding to members with e-mail addresses.

Publicist Chairperson with help of committee shall:
- Publicizing LPA activities through newspapers, radio and/or television
as directed by the President to increase community awareness of the LPA.
Equipment/Projectionist Chairperson with help of committee shall:

Assure
that audio-visual equipment is maintained in good working order, is
available and is set up/ operated as needed for events, with the help of
the committee, for which equipment is required. Also advises the Board
of any needed updates (hardware or software) to the equipment.

Telephone Chairperson with help of committee shall:
- Assuring that all members without e-mail are notified in a timely manner
of unscheduled or special events/activities that have not been advertised by
normal means (i.e., newsletter, general meetings).
- Telephone announcements shall generally be done at the direction of the
President.
Web Master Chairperson with help of committee shall:
- Maintains, updates and promotes the LPA web page.
- The Web Master shall e-mail the newsletter link to those members who
have an e-mail address.
- Responsible for sending all emails to LPA members excluding small
groups.

Workshop Chairman with help of committee
shall:
- The goal of workshops is to meet the needs of both beginners and more
advanced by varying the schedule between basic and advanced levels
- Plan, arrange, and schedule activities which further LPA member’s
knowledge and skills of photography and photographic processes.
- Keep track of the various members and other sources who have expressed a
willingness to conduct workshops for us.

or other event like the Fair or a Gallery Exhibit where a Mounting or
Framing workshop would be desired.
- Maintain a schedule of upcoming workshops with a description of what to
expect from each.
- Insure that a write-up is done for each workshop for the website and
newsletter.
- See that the presenter's needs are met (handout's, computer, other
equipment available as needed).
Note: Our Club will very soon be
without a Workshop Chairperson unless someone comes forward to volunteer for
this position. Future workshops could be few and far between without someone to
act as a coordinator and provide a little push to make things happen. See the

S4C Interclub
Representatives with help of committee shall:
INTERCLUB (Digital)
The S4C Pictorial/Color Division hosts one competition that is for S4C
member clubs to enter rather than individuals: namely the Digital Interclub
Section Competition. The Interclub competition includes the A, AA, and AAA
Skill Levels.

The chairperson
for the club submits as many as one entry from each Skill Level.

The chairperson
oversees the entries for the club as the "Interclub Coordinator" (IC),
although an IC’s alternate may actually submit each entry in any given
month.

In any given
month, however, all entries must be transmitted by the designated
individual for that month whether it be the IC or his/her alternate for
that month. The Club IC designates the Skill Level of each Entry.

Interclub
competition runs from October through April. The entries are due before
the last day of the previous month.

Friday Night Coordinator/ Moderator shall:
Coordinator:

Coordinate with
the members to ensure that there is an acceptable place to hold the
meetings.

Coordinate
between group and the restaurant, LPA board, and anyone else wanting to
interact with the group as a whole.

Write up the
minutes of the meetings and post them on the LPA Forum.
Moderator:
-
Ensure that the
group generally stays within the boundaries of the purpose (i.e.
photography discussions).

Make sure that
everyone gets a chance to participate and no one dominates the
discussions.

Try to keep the
peace, if necessary.
-
Provide topics
of discussion, if necessary, to keep the meeting active and enjoyable.
S4C liaison
AVHSUD All Media Art Show/ Photography Chair with the
help of the judging committee shall:
-
To provide a judge
to select the winner(s) of the photography division of the annual high
school art contest at LMAG.
-
To select two additional LPA members from the eligible photographers of the
club to participate in the judging. This venue provides an opportunity for
LPA to train club personnel in judging photography contests in furtherance
of the educational goals of the club and our community service
responsibilities.
